Listening Sessions Help Seniors, Families Guide Governor’s First Master Plan for Older Adults
Philadelphians have only one month left to help influence and guide Governor Shapiro’s first ever Master Plan for Older Adults through listening sessions. InnovAge Philadelphia LIFE (Living Independently for the Elderly) is hosting a key session at its Pennypack senior center in northeast Philadelphia Wednesday (8/23/23) at 1-2 p.m.
The Pennsylvania Department of Aging will provide updated details on the plan, solicit information from attendees to guide upcoming initiatives, and share timeline updates, as well as how citizens can stay involved throughout the process.
Seniors share their experiences being an older adult with complex needs. InnovAge shares experience and knowledge on the care and services needed to provide comprehensive, modern, whole-person care.
LeadingAge PA, representing over 400 mission-driven aging services providers across the commonwealth, who will also be in attendance, has taken a leading role in helping the state accomplish these critical goals.
Join us to learn more, get up-to-date information, and help Philadelphians drive improvements in care and services for older adults. Please contact Lara Hazenfield before the event to confirm your attendance and estimated time of arrival. Please let us know if you are a tv, radio, or print journalist. We can assist in collecting required signed releases of any individuals identified in print, pictures, or video. Click here for event flyer. lhazenfield@innovage.com
